Here's where the journey starts

Whilst browsing good websites, learning from good tutorials or just admiring attractive designs, I really wanted to find something behind all those.

When it happened to find a valuable website, I was really curious to know how it evolved. And Archive.org was just partially helpful in this situation.

It would have been extremely valuable for me to read a log about all the changes that occurred in the life of a website and what was the reason for those changes.

Even if a log like that can be easily published without breaking any confidentiality rules, I have rarely seen any tentative or project which resembles the idea of a "captain's log".

Yesterday (19th of August, 2008) I realised that I have to keep a record of (well, almost) everything I'm doing with my ugly project.

I thought about this (honestly) when I stopped writing the article for my front page (the "cool website" article) to build the navigation.

Well, here we are now.
On the left you can see the archive of the captain's log. Just follow the links.

Please, don't get confused. That's not a blog-like archive section.

... because this website is not a blog.

PS: I don't mind if you send me an e-mail, telling me how stupid (or clever) is the "captain's log" idea.
