Web 2.0, interactivity, spammy comments and all the bullshit

Here we are. You either love or hate what I say. Both feelings require passion, so as long as you want to say something, you give me some of your attention. Thank you for that.

Now allow me to digress a little bit and to explain the real value of your comments.

Blogging platforms, social networks, forums, all this Web 2.0 revolution brought the interactivity to a new level. To which level anyone can discuss anything. To which level a simple comment box on a blog is a magnet for both cleverness and stupidity .

Are you an expert in a specific field, or on the other hand, are you just a spammer? Write your comment, add your e-mail and your web link (which is going to be "nofollowed" anyway) and then click "Send".

That's it.

Now you may be willing to comment on some of my articles. Maybe you want to add some of your personal sarcasm, writing talent, personal value to my website (even if that means to disagree).

I really appreciate if at least one of you, my visitors, will do that. Now the ugly part of my ugly project: I do not embed any unnecessary scripts in my website.

That means that I'm not going to implement a commenting system. Not because is complicated, but because I love my ugly project; i want to keep my cool website untouched.

I want only passionate comments. If you decided to give away some of your time and start commenting, do it the hard way: use my e-mail address, refer to the article you want to comment, add your website in the e-mail message.

On the other hand, you'll see how I respect your effort. I manually edit this website, using only Notepad, so your comments will be added the same way; in other words, my effort in exchange for your effort. Moreover, if your website is interesting, I'll add the link without the nofollow attribute.

(Put it this way, is just another way to avoid the "Great post!" type of comments.)

PS: If you just want to exercise your swearing or your spammy techniques, don't bother.
